JOURNAL HISTORY

JKBD: Jurnal Keperawatan Bunda Delima aims to promote excellence in nursing and healthcare through the dissemination of evidence-based clinical knowledge, peer-reviewed original research, and scholarly discussions on relevant and emerging professional issues. The journal is committed to maintaining high standards of scientific integrity, academic excellence, and ethical publishing practices while promoting nursing perspectives within the broader healthcare community and society.

All published articles are expected to be grounded in sound scientific, empirical, theoretical, or philosophical frameworks and to demonstrate critical thinking, intellectual inquiry, and scholarly rigor.

Jurnal Keperawatan Bunda Delima (JKBD) was first published in 2019 as a biannual scientific journal. The journal's original cover featured the acronym "JKBD" in the distinctive yellow and green colors associated with Akademi Keperawatan Bunda Delima (Akper Bunda Delima).

Volumes 1 through 3 were published exclusively in print under the Print International Standard Serial Number (p-ISSN: 2656-1166). Beginning with Volume 5, JKBD transitioned to electronic publication through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform under the Electronic International Standard Serial Number (e-ISSN: 2829-131X).

In Volume 6, Issue 1 (February 2024), JKBD introduced a revised manuscript template following recommendations received during a journal accreditation training program aimed at improving the quality and accreditation readiness of scientific journals indexed in Indonesia's Science and Technology Index (SINTA). The revised template was designed to enhance manuscript consistency, academic presentation, and compliance with scholarly publishing standards.

In response to the increasing interest and participation of lecturers, researchers, and students in publishing their scholarly work, the JKBD editorial team decided to increase the journal's publication frequency.

Effective in 2026, JKBD transitioned from a biannual to a monthly publication schedule, publishing twelve issues per year.

This development reflects JKBD's continued commitment to improving publication services, expanding opportunities for scholarly dissemination, and supporting the advancement of nursing and healthcare research.
