Results may be supported by tables, figures, and statistical analyses where appropriate.

The Discussion should:

  • Interpret the principal findings.

  • Compare results with relevant previous research.

  • Explain the scientific significance of the findings.

  • Discuss implications for nursing practice or healthcare services.

  • Address relevant study limitations.

  2. Present the principal conclusions concisely.

  3. Reflect the findings reported in the manuscript.

  4. Avoid introducing new results or arguments.

  5. Be written as a coherent paragraph without numbering.

Recommendations, when included, should be based on the research findings and their implications.

They may be presented in a separate paragraph following the conclusion, without introducing an additional subsection unless required by the journal template.

10. Tables and Figures

Tables and figures must be relevant, accurate, and clearly presented.

Authors should ensure that:

  1. Each table and figure is appropriately numbered.

  2. Titles and captions clearly describe the content.

  3. Data presented in tables and figures are consistent with the manuscript text.

  4. Statistical symbols, abbreviations, and measurements are explained.

  5. Tables and figures are referred to in the manuscript.

  6. Images have sufficient resolution for publication.

  7. Reused materials are appropriately credited and any required permissions have been obtained.

Authors must not manipulate images or research data in ways that misrepresent scientific findings.

11. References and Citations

JKBD requires the use of the American Psychological Association (APA) citation style.

Authors must ensure that:

  1. All sources cited in the manuscript are included in the reference list.

  2. All references in the reference list are cited in the manuscript.

  3. The manuscript includes at least 20 references.

  4. References are relevant, credible, and scientifically appropriate.

  5. References generally come from publications issued within the previous 10 years, in accordance with JKBD guidelines.

  6. Primary and scholarly sources are prioritized.

  7. Bibliographic information is complete and accurate.

  8. DOI information is provided when available.

The JKBD reference guidelines specify the following source composition:

  • Books: 50%.

  • Scientific journals outside the Jurnal Vokasi Kesehatan category: 30%.

  • Jurnal Vokasi Kesehatan: 20%.

Authors should consult the official journal guidelines for the interpretation and application of these reference proportions.

Reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote may be used to maintain citation accuracy and consistency.

12. Research Ethics

All research submitted to JKBD must comply with applicable institutional, national, and international ethical standards.

For research involving human participants, authors must obtain approval from an authorized research ethics committee when required.

Authors must also ensure that:

  1. Informed consent is obtained when applicable.

  2. Participant privacy and confidentiality are protected.

  3. Patient-identifiable information is not disclosed without appropriate authorization.

  4. Research data are obtained and reported ethically.

  5. Participants' rights, dignity, and safety are respected.

  6. Ethical approval or exemption details are reported accurately.

The editorial team may request supporting ethical approval documentation when necessary.

13. Plagiarism and Originality

JKBD requires all submitted manuscripts to meet appropriate standards of originality and academic integrity.

Submitted manuscripts may undergo similarity screening using Turnitin or other appropriate software.

The journal's published Plagiarism Policy specifies a 30% similarity threshold for editorial screening.

However, similarity scores must be interpreted carefully. A similarity percentage alone does not establish whether plagiarism has occurred.

Regardless of the similarity score, authors must ensure that all borrowed text, ideas, findings, and other materials are properly acknowledged.

Plagiarism, fabricated references, falsified data, duplicate publication, and other forms of research misconduct are prohibited.

14. Artificial Intelligence (AI) Usage

Authors may use AI-assisted tools responsibly, provided their use complies with the journal's Artificial Intelligence Policy.

AI systems cannot be listed as authors or co-authors.

Authors must disclose relevant use of AI-assisted technologies, particularly when these technologies contribute substantively to manuscript preparation, data processing, analysis, or research-related activities.

JKBD's published AI Policy normally expects AI-detected content not to exceed 25% as an internal screening indicator.

AI-detection results are not considered conclusive evidence of misconduct and must be assessed alongside author disclosures and other relevant information.

Human authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, reliability, and ethical integrity of the submitted manuscript.

15. Authorship and Author Contributions

All listed authors must meet the authorship criteria established by the journal.

Authors must have:

  1. Made substantial contributions to the research.

  2. Participated in drafting or critically reviewing the manuscript.

  3. Approved the final version.

  4. Accepted responsibility for the integrity and accuracy of the work.

Individuals who do not satisfy all authorship criteria should be acknowledged rather than listed as authors.

Any proposed change to the author list after submission requires an appropriate explanation and written agreement from all affected authors, subject to editorial approval.

16. Conflict of Interest and Funding Disclosure

Authors must disclose any financial, professional, institutional, or personal relationships that could reasonably be perceived as influencing the research or its interpretation.

If no conflicts of interest exist, authors should explicitly state that there are no conflicts of interest.

All relevant research funding and material support must also be disclosed.

Where applicable, authors should describe the role of funders in research design, data collection, analysis, interpretation, manuscript preparation, and the decision to submit the research for publication.

17. Manuscript Submission Procedure

All manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the official JKBD Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform.

Submission Website:

https://journal.bundadelima.ac.id/index.php/jkbd/submission

The submission procedure generally involves:

  1. Registering for an account or logging into the journal's OJS platform.

  2. Selecting the appropriate manuscript submission section.

  3. Completing the required submission information and declarations.

  4. Uploading the manuscript prepared using the official JKBD template.

  5. Entering complete and accurate manuscript metadata.

  6. Providing author details, affiliations, abstract, and keywords.

  7. Uploading supplementary documents when requested.

  8. Reviewing and confirming the submission.

Registration and login are required to submit manuscripts and monitor their editorial status.

18. Peer Review Process

JKBD applies a double-anonymized peer-review system.

Under this system, reviewers do not receive identifying information about the authors, and reviewer identities are not disclosed to authors.

Manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening to assess their relevance, originality, formatting, scientific quality, and ethical compliance.

Manuscripts that pass the initial assessment are generally evaluated by at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise.

Editorial decisions may include:

  1. Accept Submission.

  2. Minor Revision.

  3. Major Revision.

  4. Reject Submission.

The final decision is made by the responsible editor or Editor-in-Chief after considering the reviewers' assessments and the journal's editorial standards.

19. Manuscript Revision

Authors receiving revision requests must carefully address all substantive comments from reviewers and editors.

Revised submissions should include:

  1. A revised manuscript.

  2. A point-by-point response to reviewer comments.

  3. Clear explanations of the changes made.

  4. Scientific justification for recommendations that have not been adopted.

The journal may request further revisions or additional peer review before making a final decision.

20. Copyright and Open Access

JKBD publishes scholarly articles under an open-access model.

Authors retain the copyright to their published work while granting the journal the necessary rights to publish and disseminate the article.

Published articles are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) License, in accordance with the journal's current copyright and licensing policy.

Readers may access and reuse published content subject to applicable licensing conditions, including appropriate attribution.

Authors should review the journal's Copyright and License Policy before submitting their manuscripts.

21. Publication Schedule

JKBD follows a monthly publication schedule consisting of twelve issues per year.

The journal accepts manuscript submissions throughout the year through a continuous submission system.

Manuscripts accepted for publication are scheduled according to editorial readiness, the completion of revisions, production requirements, and available publication capacity.

Submission or acceptance does not guarantee publication in a specific issue.
