AUTHOR FEES POLICY

JURNAL KEPERAWATAN BUNDA DELIMA (JKBD)

1. General Statement

Jurnal Keperawatan Bunda Delima (JKBD), published by Akademi Keperawatan Bunda Delima, is committed to maintaining transparency, fairness, and accountability in scholarly publishing.

JKBD operates as an open-access, peer-reviewed scientific journal dedicated to disseminating high-quality research in nursing, healthcare, and related health sciences.

To support editorial management, manuscript production, and online publication, JKBD applies an Article Processing Charge (APC) of IDR 300,000 (three hundred thousand Indonesian rupiah) per accepted article.

2. Article Submission Fee

JKBD does not charge authors for the initial submission of manuscripts.

Authors may submit manuscripts through the journal's online submission system without payment.

All submitted manuscripts undergo editorial screening and peer review in accordance with the journal's editorial policies.

3. Article Processing Charge (APC)

JKBD applies the following publication fee:

Article Processing Charge (APC): IDR 300,000 per accepted article.

The APC is charged only after a manuscript has successfully completed the editorial and peer-review process and has been formally accepted for publication.

The APC is intended to support the operational costs associated with manuscript processing and scholarly publication.

The publication fee may cover:

  1. Editorial administration and manuscript management.

  2. Copyediting and proofreading.

  3. Article formatting and layout.

  4. Online publication and electronic journal management.

  5. Management of article metadata.

  6. Digital archiving and maintenance of published articles.

  7. Technical maintenance of the journal's publishing platform.

The APC is charged per accepted article, regardless of the number of authors.

4. Payment Procedures

Authors are required to complete APC payment after receiving formal notification of manuscript acceptance from the JKBD editorial office.

The payment procedure is as follows:

  1. The manuscript undergoes editorial screening and peer review.

  2. The editor issues a formal acceptance notification.

  3. The corresponding author receives official payment instructions.

  4. The author pays the APC of IDR 300,000 through the authorized payment channel.

  5. The author submits proof of payment when requested.

  6. The editorial team verifies payment before proceeding with the final publication process.

Payment information will be communicated through the journal's official editorial channels.

Authors should not transfer payments to unauthorized individuals or accounts.

5. Editorial Independence

The payment of an Article Processing Charge does not influence the editorial evaluation or peer-review process.

All editorial decisions are based on:

  1. Originality and scientific contribution.

  2. Relevance to the journal's aims and scope.

  3. Research methodology and scientific validity.

  4. Compliance with research ethics.

  5. Peer-review recommendations.

  6. Overall manuscript quality.

Payment of the APC does not guarantee acceptance, favorable peer-review results, or preferential editorial treatment.

6. Fee Waiver and Reduction

Requests for APC waivers or reductions, if permitted under the publisher's current policies, may be submitted to the JKBD editorial office for consideration.

Any approval of a fee waiver or reduction is subject to the publisher's authorization.

Fee-related requests shall not influence the scientific assessment or editorial decision concerning a manuscript.

7. Refund Policy

Any request for a refund of an APC payment must be submitted to the JKBD editorial office with supporting documentation.

Refund requests, including those involving duplicate payments or administrative errors, will be reviewed according to the publisher's applicable financial procedures.

Refund eligibility and approval remain subject to the publisher's established policies.

8. Open Access Policy

JKBD provides immediate and free online access to all published articles.

Readers may access, read, download, and share published research without subscription fees, subject to the journal's applicable copyright and licensing conditions.

The APC is paid by authors or their supporting institutions and does not impose any charge on readers.

This open-access publishing model aims to enhance the accessibility, visibility, and dissemination of research findings in nursing and healthcare sciences.

9. Transparency of Publication Fees

JKBD is committed to clearly communicating all publication-related charges to prospective authors.

The current APC is IDR 300,000 per accepted article.

Any changes to the APC amount or payment procedures will be announced through the journal's official website.
